Randomness and Sadness

Not to say I didn't see it coming, but I really didn't actually expect the Harry Potter series to end how it did. I think I'm good with it. You know how sometimes you're scared of how a series is going to end because there's a distinct possibility of it being either such a depressing let-down that you want your investment back, or even worse:

That's pretty sad. I dont' have the usual visceral reaction toward animal abuse that most people have. I think it's horrible, its just that I'm a human medic, and I reserve my rage for those who abuse children. (I find it interesting that so many people will get violently upset at the idea of animal abuse, but not bat an eyelash when it comes to child abuse. Not right or wrong, just interesting). But still, that's a really sad story. You can't blame the kid if he mentally challenged, but that still really sucks.

Preacher is a lot of fun. I found there were some really interesting themes of friendship and betrayal that really carried the series. I liked how it could tell a serious story through all the really screwed up silly and juvenile stories that it told.

Yes, an unfortunate thing on all sides. I'm not mad at the kid, just the situation.
Your description of Preacher kind of reminds me of how I feel about the television show "Scrubs," or at least the parts of it I've seen. Seems to have a certain moral or message to each episode, disguised with the characters' ratings-grabbing antics.
Should be fun.
