Give Me Three Good Reasons...

Really the only compelling reason I can think of is that by having a second child you'd increase the world's population of smart people. Seems perhaps a trifle too cold and distant a reason to have a kid by my lights.

I would have been lonely without my sisters. There's all sorts of reasons I don't want to have any kids, but if I had any, I wouldn't stop with one. And sibling rivalry can easily be overcome, if that's a matter for concern. My sisters and I never had any serious rivalries like some families I know, and I suspect it's entirely because our mother and father expected us to respect each other and treated us fairly.

Have a boy and name him Summer. :)

Oh wait, you asked for three reasons... um, other than companionship for the first child, it will also aid in teaching the first child responsibility, because it's really not all that hard (either) to convince a child to help you out with the care of his baby brother or sister. Just make it sound fun and rewarding (which it is!).

And thirdly, because it will help YOU learn more about yourself and about being a parent.

Thanks, both for your opinion on more kids, and on the layout. I really enjoy the layout as well.

Thanks for these wonderful comments! I tried really hard to avoid sounding as though my hunny was pressuring me at all to have another little one, I'm not sure how well I did. Of course he respects my feelings on everything. Amusingly enough, he as historically pestered me quite more about getting a dog. =)
Gives me some good perspective, thanks again.
