What does speed & prolific mean, when you can have quality? Please do not apologize for being a slow writer, because this was well worth the time. It's just beautiful and warm and inviting. I believe I'll be revisiting this story again and again.

My favorite part: the slow reveal of the established and the first time. I just love the idea of them waiting, both of them knowing that there is something there between them, and putting it on hold while they have Atlantis, because hey, no one is going any where, what's the rush-- just the security of their relationship. Even better, is when John has had enough of putting himself on hold (and tucking that part of himself away) and he's ready for Rodney.

“But the city and your job and-I’m trying to be noble here!”

Sheppard put his hand along Rodney’s jaw and stroked his thumb across Rodney’s cheek. Rodney turned into his palm, unable to resist reacting to the touch.

“Maybe I’m tired of noble. Maybe I’ve been tired of it for a while.”

Yes, yes exactly. They have, as you say, Atlantis and the team and everything and that's good, that's important, but I (probably obviously) love the idea of them having each other after that. When there's time for each other and the knowledge and experience to appreciate it and to be patient and indulgent with each other.

Fabulous! I was supposed to be studying, but once I started I couldn't put it down. So to speak. I loved it all, from Rodney vs the grocery to Teyla's wedding to that first kiss at the end. You might possibly have made me a little misty when Rodney had his "moment"...

I still have studying to do, but it doesn't seem like such a hardship now. Thanks!
