I had to drive to four stores to buy Adam's CD. If this were because the first three were already sold out, that would have been exciting. But no, one of the stores hadn't heard of him and the other two aren't getting his CD in until later in the week ( Read more... )

I hadn't intended to buy the album until I saw how freaked out everyone got over his AMA appearance. I kinda had to, after that.

Yeah, I found it a necessary statement of queer solidarity. Happily, it's actually entirely enjoyable.

His visual aesthetic is so close to mine (god I want his clothes) that I had few doubts that I'd like his music choices. Luckily I was right! My fave is Fever, then Strut, but I'm slowly (after many many repeats) beginning to appreciate the slower stuff, like Broken Open.
