He's so cute- they play a "blanket popcorn" game- balls on a blanket and they all hold it and pretend it's popcorn. It's his favorite- popcorn was the first real solid food he ate post-tx, and it's still his favorite! <3
First of all Gene- I read that as "I would eat a psycho"... :O lol
I say "Martha Focker!" all the time. :P
And. I need a fried green tomatoes recipe- family recipe, tried and true. I refuse to look online. You have one for me? Or Sarah??? :D I have a full box of tomatoes, ripe and not, and I've never had a fried green tomato in my life! Teach me Obi-Wan!
I have never fried a green tomato in my life. But I have eaten them and they are DELICIOUS if they are done right.
I found this one on Food Network-it sounds pretty good and similar to what mom does.
cups yellow cornmeal Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste 2 eggs 4 green tomatoes, thickly sliced 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Season cornmeal with salt and pepper. In a bowl beat eggs. Dip tomatoes in the beaten egg and then in the cornmeal. In a cast iron or non-stick pan heat oil and place tomatoes. Fry for 3 minutes or so on each side, or until golden. Serve. (Gene says " the cast iron skillet is best! And it will help keep your husband in line.")
