He totally outs Carlos Mencia on stealing jokes. I hate when other artists get stolen from! that is totally ghetto like Mencia.

I wasn't even aware of this controversy. Apparently Rogan has also accused Dane Cook of stealing his jokes. He also questions if the Apollo moon landing took place. For that I can't instantly give him credibility. I'd be curious if Mencia published a response.

I just think that Mencia's arguments were lame and he was trying to shut Joe up so and talk over him so that he couldn't make any good points. I felt he was evasive and Joe Rogan does not seem motivated by jealousy as Carlos weakly implies, he is just sticking up for the dumbasses with no balls that don't defend their material.

And Joe wasn't accusing Mencia of stealing his material but calling him out on stealing from other comedians. And Dane Cook sucks either way.

He totally stole that Ari, the Jewish guy's joke. His joke was about building a wall to keep illegal immigrants out along the border. Mencia's and his had the same punchline, "Who is gonna build it?" And Mencia's only defense is that the Jewish guy was not Ghetto. It was pretty cool that Mencia pulled out his green card when Joe started accusing Mencia of not being full Mexican. I did not think that was cool of Joe.

I seen Mencia one time at the Improv in Hollywood with a Midget! And he is really really funny. But as Joe says, a great entertainer that stills other peoples shit.

Mencia is a filthy honduran and only part mexican he is not full-blooded. Ari is also known as the amazing racist so that joke is really part of his theme. That loser was trying to say that he has rights to Ari's joke because he is mexican WTF???!!! He didn't come up with it yet he has made money off of someone else. That seems to be the problem that Joe had with all of this is that his success is in part due to other people's material that he has stolen. Haha! he did prove that he a is a wetback with the green card. But his race is his humor on television. He has the same type of humor that I have and has actually stolen some of my jokes. Not that he ever heard me say them... just sick minds think alike I guess?? I love when Joe gets pissed and says "You fat fuck!!"

I don't keep up with the livejournal much these days, but browsed through older posts and found this one and had to watch. I wasn't a huge fan of Rogan either, but this definitely makes me respect him a lot more. Great find on your part.

I've seen Ned a few times on TV and never realized he was stealing other material. I've noticed a few comedians steal, or at least tell extremely similar jokes, but didn't really consider how wrong it was until this video. Rogan was right in his appeal to the audience regarding stealing jokes as performers. It should be considered just as bad as stealing riffs and plagiarizing, which most of us realize is totally unacceptable. I also loved the "you fat fuck" thrown in the middle of it.

If he hasn't already, Rogan should make an entire campaign against comedian ripoffs. Of course, the comedians could always break off into genres and say they just use samples from other comedians as one of our favorite musical genres gets away with.

Thanks. Prior to this I was a fan of both The Amazing Racist (Ari Shaffir) and Mencia. I thought Mencia's joke about building the wall was great and when I would repeat it to friends I always credited Mencia. After seeing this I was outraged and lost a lot of respect for that fat fuck. Rogan is doing a great thing for artists who haven't already made it and who are too stupid to stand up for themselves and I respect that. And yes I agree, he should start some kind of watchdog group to help keep that shit out of their scene.
