I've decided to switch LJ back to being a paid account. I've debated back and forth whether to do this, and I think in the end I'll be happier for it - especially as I have anonymous comments turned off again and I'm foiling the damnable bots. I may consider adding a capchtca in order to foil them further (if that even works.) And, since I've paid

Nanowrimo is doing Camp Nanowrimo in July: http://campnanowrimo.org/

I haven't done one of the camps yet, so I'm not entirely sure of how they different from regular Nanowrimo but I think they're similar but with a flexible word count.

Huh. Interesting. I've signed up, but I'm not sure how well I'll stick with the NaNoWriMo stuff, exactly.

I find Nano in general works for some people and not for others. It tends to help me by keeping me steadily working, although the side-effect is sometimes I end up writing a lot of filler.

Yeah. For the past few years that's pretty much how things have been for me. I tend to take vacations, visit family and friends, and a ton of other things during November that makes writing impossible for me.

Plus? For me? I'm trying to turn July into a more positive month, rather than reflecting about it being the evil month my mother died. So, turning it into my personal writing month seems to be a positive move.
