I think you really hit your stride in the second stanza. I especially like:
with probing pale mycelium brown fibers melt into a viscous oozing liquid, larvae burrow through the roots; the scent of ozone and perpetually moist earth wafts from the trunk, undulating in the breeze, like the tattered ends of a feathery luminescent blue veil.

Ooh la la. I've got to find my poetry book first. I'm not sure where I missplaced it. It's either in my garage or at my mom's house. I'll try to find it for you.
