A very wet and miserable day here. I was hoping for a dry day, to finish up some yard work. Oh well. The wind last night was really strong. Gusts up to 50 mph. It wasn't raining yet, so I took some linen out and shook it to blow the dust and pet hair out of it. There was a frisbee laying in the back yard, but it has disappeared. I'm always amazed when we seem to be having the same sort of weather on both sides of the pond - it's blustery and gale-y here again, too!

Glad to hear you eventually got paid for the days you had to go into work during the shutdown - still can't believe how you were all treated!

Best wishes with your mum too - it's so hard... My mum's almost the opposite - she decided with her doctor that it was time for her to go into assisted care, cos she was forgetting so much we were worried it might be dangerous, but she's actually pretty healthy otherwise, and I think feels a bit odd being there... I think sometimes the extra choice we have in western society makes things harder rather than simpler, half the time...
