I had my 50th birthday back in May. Turning 50 didn't bother me, at first, but my summer has not been good and I'm thinking I should have stayed at 49.
My birthday present to myself was this little guy:
Oh, gosh, yes, what a terrible summer. I'm so sorry about your mother. It is always hard. I was 52 when my mother died last year. I like being in my fifties, but...the number of friends and relatives who are sick or have died is really starting to accumulate.
Yikes for all the medical tests and trying to figure out what is best for treatment. I hope a plan can move forward now.
But my goodness, what a terrific birthday present for yourself! *g* He's gorgeous.
Here's to a much better autumn for you and the boys. *Hugs*
Thank you. As hard as it was, she couldn't care for herself, eat or breathe properly. She was the oldest and first of her siblings to pass. They weren't ready for it.
The medical stuff is a drag and trying to take proper care of Tucker as well is hard! But he is gorgeous and makes me very happy. Looking forward to much better fall.
So sorry to hear about your mum, and all your own awkward medical nags. Hopefully they've got a proper idea about what's going on now, and will be able to get you sorted. Here's to the rest of your fiftieth year looking up - and to happy memories, and many happy new times with Tucker. *g*
Popped on to say how much I'm in love with your dog, then read the rest of your post. Oh dear. I'm sorry about your mum, and I really hope your health improves.
Thank you. Tucker is a beautiful little boy, (not little for long!) very smart and brings me joy. I am feeling somewhat better, but trying to find a proper doctor is proving difficult. Mom's passing was a blessing for her, but hard on her siblings, who did not realize how sick she was. I appreciate your condolences!
