Yes, and sometimes with disastrous results. I won't go posting videos of those though. Some of 'em are pretty bad.

Weird how those cars all look alike… and more like something from the streets of London than anywhere in the USA. My mind does not associate “tiny hatchback” with “race car”. I had to go looking for interior shots because I was convinced this was filmed in the UK. (The drivers are sitting on the port side, so it's highly unlikely.)

There are American, Japanese and European cars in there. Ford, Subaru, Citroen and Peugeot are all running currently in the World Rally Championship with teams from all over the bloody place. The races run everywhere from Greece to Argentina. I'm guessing that the driver's side is dictated more by pilot preference than locality.

Oh, and tiny hatchback = race car.

At the club races a few weeks ago, there was a mini that was wrecking house until mechanical problems tripped him up.
