And if you manage to steal a vat of liquid helium, you won't need any patience, either. :)

You were fine up til the state change, that latent heat of fusion will get you.

The sugar would also act as a dissolved colligative particle and lower the feezing point...but we can get around that by assuming Sam's kool-aid is weak.
