Somehow, I should have known this prompt was yours ;-)

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it, hon - I've been out of writing for so long I was really nervous about this, especially as this is a new fandom for me >.<; I'm just so relieved the humor came through, and wasn't just funny inside my own head. I'm actually just editing part 2 now, so it might even be up later tonight, if I get my butt in gear, that is.

Thank you for giving such a wonderfully fun prompt, and for the totally make-my-day kind of review!

I love how this progressed. From Cobb's failed attempts at making basic things to Phillipa and James knowing the intimate lives of the delivery guys.

This was a great read. Now, onto the part 2!!

When I ended up with this massive, approaching-10,000-word beast, I was a bit worried that I'd indulged my love of detail a little too much!

Somehow, though, the inner workings of the Cobb household just made me laugh :D

Thank you so much! *hugs*

I was checking if you posted this over at the comm and I'm glad you did. We needed this infusion of new, well-written fic.

I love how much you get this pair. I think I've said this already in my FFnet review of your fic. I think there's something about the first fic one crafts for a fandom - there's a certain care that people put in because everything is so new. I love your characterization of Dom, Ariadne and even Miles and the children. I also love how REAL you made their relationship feel, that everything doesn't necessarily revolve around grand gestures or declarations but in the things that people do even though they may not be stating why they are doing certain things.

I love your attention to detail, how the environment tells the story. Not everyone has the gift for setting ambiance but you do. You have here an excellent example of "show, don't tell".
