New Computers

I've bought 7 computers in the last 4 years and only one of them wasn't a necessary purchase. I bought a used mini-Acer laptops thinking it would work better than lugging my regular laptop around, but I just can't get anything done on the mini-screen. I've used it for my Kindle books and for studying, but it doesn't really work for anything else.

It's frustrating as all get out to have the stupid things die for no apparent reason.

for years even my top of the line laptop purchases lasted 2 years, tops. I think I am coming up on two years on the one I have now but it has never given me ANY trouble so I think we are going to have a longer life together.

Ben just got a new HP ordered a few days ago and is waiting for it to be built. This will be his first laptop so now we have him hooked too. I am hoping it means he may dump his desktop eventually and then maybe we can make his cave of a computer room into something more useful and nice.

I tried to get The Boy to switch to a laptop, but he plays a lot of games & doesn't want to give up the extra memory & graphics that his new desktop has.
