My Final Band Trip Ever. . .

Wow, not really sure what to say. Can't believe it's over. I will never again go on a trip with the Seminole band. But since it did have to end - it sure did end with a bang.

On the music side of things, our performance of "A Movement for Rosa" (a piece dedicated to Rosa Parks) was quite possibly the most emotional performance I've ever been a part of. A friend of mine put it perfectly - each section of the piece was played the best it ever had been. I get chills thinking about it. *sigh*
The adjucators' comments were as follows:
#1: "Bravi, Bravi, Bravisimo"
#2: "I had goosebumps once yesterday, but you were the first band to make me cry"
#3: "I wish I could be in high school again, go to FL, and go to seminole high school"

I found myself tearing up - at the performance, at the comments, at the ridiculous score it earned (298 out of 300), and at the thought of never doing it again.

Outside of music, the trip rocked as well. Besides a little rain fri morning, and a freezing sat night, weather was pretty decent. People got along for the most part, and things seemingly fell my way for once. for an entire weekend. amazing.

Anyhow, now I'm back to reality, a reality for once I'd rather not face. For just this night, I wish I could stay in HS forever. . .
