As the subject suggests, I couldn't be in a better place right now. I've found myself an amazing girlfriend (wow it's weird to type that word =P)....had some fun hanging with the crew Fri night....then there was last night - one of those memories you don't forget...
I'll be honest, I didn't think it would be that great - most of my band friends weren't going, and I'm not a huge roller coaster fan.
The bus ride wasn't terrible, although I was still a little tired from getting in around 3 am the night before. Luckily, I got my own seat, and sat in front of two old friends which I had fun chatting with on the way there, all different thoughts about the past, present, and future. Good times indeed...besides the ridiculous traffic we hit on I-4; I never saw an accident - so what the heck was everyone doing at 4 pm on a Saturday?!
Then of course, the bus driver gets lost trying to find parking - how this is possible, I do not know lol The Big Universal Parking signs were a trick I guess? haha, anyhow...
By this point, I'm starving; we make our way into the CityWalk Pre-Party - Finally make our way to the buffet food tables after 50,000 security checks and dress code checkpoints lol....surprisingly, the hamburgers were quite good, and the brownies were such a great added touch - I felt like I wouldn't ever be hungry again - of course, that didn't last all night, lol. So we made our way to the entrance for IoA (Islands of Adventure) - WOW, never been in such a mob my whole life, that was some crazzzzyyyyyyyyy manuevering to try and get in...
After an uncomfortable 15 minutes or so, we did of course make it in. The next decision still boggles my mind - our group decided to ride Dudley DoRight (sp?) - yes, that's a water ride - it's near dark outside with no sun...and it's like 60 degrees. Needless to say me and a couple others passed and watched them get soaked of their mind. Go figure. Next up was the Jurassic Park River Adventure - I might have considered because you don't get too wet, but I'm not a fan of the enormous drop. Then they all went on Dueling Dragons, while I and another were subjected to some horrribbbbblllllleeeeee karaoke lol.
From then on, the night was all a success, and was so much fun. We did some ridiculous rides (one fish, two fish, carousel, haha), hit up SpiderMan, made our way over to good ole Universal. Fun times there include me absolutely getting owned by everyone at MIB but still having fun, riding Earthquake for the first time, Billy winning a purple monkey, Our group being absolutely appalled at any line over 5 minutes (how spoiled are we?! lol), then finally hitting up a party zone where I let loose some and had a good ole time dancing the night away - despite a crowded environment that would make the fire marshal cringe. Before too long like all good things, the night came to an end, and after a 30 min trek back to the busses, I got my single seat and crashed - shortest bus ride ever in my mind because I was out the whole ride home.
Somehow, I didn't make it home til 5 AM, and being the awful person I am there was NO WAY I was crawling out of bed at 7:30 to hit up church, then work.
I couldn't be happier - many great things are happening and I'm simply soaking them all in...I wish this never had to end....how appropriate that this song starts playing on iTunes.
