I just got done at AM-NY for my first day of work, and it was crazy and tiring but right as I left, a managing editor asked me to check the spelling of my name, and it's going to be in the paper tomorrow! I didn't write the article entirely but I "contributed reporting" for a sports article about the yankees taking steroids. awesome. of course,

dumb yankees shouldn't take so many drugs... but does the doping of athletes really deserve to be up there on america's "things we currently give a damn about" scale?

on america's? not so much. it's kind of stupid. but in new york, it's like, A BIG DEAL... especially if the big players indicted aren't allowed to play. or go to jail. or whatever. and AM-NY is only handed out in subways in new york city. so people CARE
