This is beyond heartbreaking.I feel so sorry for you and your friend and so utterly disgusted by this so called mother's behaviour. Just how can she abandon her daughter again even on her deathbed? It just boggles my mind and hearing of fates like your friend Karen's sometimes makes me envy people who got this strong faith in divine justice. I hope that you can find a good home for Copper. At nineteen the poor girl doesn't have much time left and she shouldn't have to spend that time in an animal shelter. But I'm sure you won't let that happen. It's so hard losing a lifelong friend, isn't it? Some people seem to think that getting wrinkles and grey hair is the worst thing that can happen while getting older. So ridicilous! I edit this again, cause I really feel the urge to give you a very big hug, even if it's just virtual!
I am so very sorry for your loss. It breaks my heart that she left this world feeling that way. I will never understand a mother who could do something like that to her child. Just know that you are in my thoughts. Take care. **Hugs**
