Writer's Block: Golden Globe Awards

Hugo. That picture was unexpectedly great and beautiful. Granted, I have not yet seen The Ides of March or Moneyball, and I don't plan to see War Horse or The Descendants. But as far as the first two are concerned, haven't we already seen winning pictures like them? Let's go for something different, critics, like Hugo, The Help, or War Horse. ... ( Read more... )

Yes it really IS excellent. It has Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes in the BBC Version of the mysteries), Tom Hiddleston who is in Thor, Midnight in Paris and a bunch of other films - he's just SO good in this. Lots of other good actors, and the horses are wonderful. All the horse action is real except for one little bit having to do with the rescue of the horse in No Man's Land, and I really loved it. Of course, I've loved horses since I was a tiny girl, so that might have something to do with it, but the story is good, otherwise I wouldn't say it was this good.
