I know that there are at least a few people wondering about the status of Summer Nights. Over the past few weeks I’ve had some inquiries about it, so I thought I should post a note.

Understandable, if a tad disappointing.

I've been reading "Summer Nights" from the start and have enjoyed it enormously. If, however, you've lost the thread and drive to write, then DON'T force yourself to. I personally would rather have a decent story later than a crap one now.

Please know you have at least one reader out here wanting to know what was coming next. Cheers.

Totally understandable. I have so many stalled Lee/Kara fics on my hard drive, it isn't funny! I just can't find the exact motivation to finish them.

It think Summer Nights is a terrific story, and has quite a few layers, especially now that we have some canon confirmation of Lee/Kara pre-mini. However, you most definitely shouldn't force yourself to write anything. Fanfic should be fun!

If you did finish it some day, I'd gladly read. But take your time.

Unfortunatley these things happen. :( I am however glad that people have been so understanding about it.

Believe me, the second Summer Nights becomes fun again for me I will dive right back into it head first. :)

Oh, the pain!

But I completely understand what you are saying - I have, to my own shame, dropped a couple of wips in the past, because when the inspiration fails you, there's not much you can do. So don't feel guilty, even if it is sad to think that this lovely story won't make it to its end....

Still, it was a very engaging read, and I still have fond memories of it. But should you ever change your mind, I'd be delighted to find out what happens next...
