I feel a little strange updating this, but I figure I may as well post some initial thoughts about college, in case anybody still reads this. College is okay. For the most part I am tired of the orienation events. I don't like being forced to have fun and meet people...I will meet people as I feel like it when I feel like it. That's exactly how i felt the first week of college. First couple of weeks. I hate the "go around and tell them your name, your major, and something interesting about yourself" it's such bullshit you'd never remember it. I eventually just made friends with my dorm mates. They do objectify women and stuff but that's also a little bit of the college attitude. Most of them (atleast of my friends) don't really mean it and are really caring people for their gfs and shit. Some of them were unfaithful for a week or two here and there but then they got back together with their previous beau's. I attribute that to the first week of college where you aren't sure you will ever see them again or if they will care for you and then you meet someone who's really nice and you could really dig and well the shit flies yknow. But i know that's not you Patty O' but that's how i experienced it with my friends and I've learned beyond that they are alright.

and my personal favorites are mercury and especially jupiter, the bringer of jollity.

yeah dude, I was the same way on my first week, standing around with my mug of apple juice, feeling stupid and out of place. But you eventually fall in with the right people. It's inevitable. You can't expect things to be shiny and happy on the first day. It'll all work out.
