A/N: this is unbeta'd. Keep the errors as a souvenir! And OMG! It's the ending!

A week later, Heechul with his girlfriend Boa and his boss, Hankyung goes to his lawyer’s house to talk about his parents’ inheritance. According to his parents’ will, 90% of the inheritance will go to Jongwoon once he hits 18 while Heechul only has 10%. Heechul isn’t the least bit offended because if he is to ask, he wouldn’t give himself most of the inheritance either, considering the fact that he was a rebel during his younger days.

“Sooman!” Hankyung and the said lawyer hug each other as they ask one another how they have been. The two has been friends since they were kids and they haven’t seen each other since the trial.

“So, Heechul, Jongwoon is going to be 18 soon I suppose? Or is he 18 now?” Sooman asks Heechul as he sits down on his chair.

“He just turned 18,” the red-head answers.

“I see. How i-”

“Dad, have you seen my wallet?” Sungmin bursts out from the door. “Oh, you have guests. Sorry ab-Heechul?”

“Sungmin? Dad? Lawyer Lee is your dad?” Heechul asks, still in a state of shock.

“Yes, he’s my son. How do you two know each other?” Sooman asks no one in particular. He eyes the two skeptically but wards off undesirable thoughts.

“He’s Jongwoon’s teacher,” Heechul answers as he stands up to leave the room, pulling Sungmin along with him. “Now tell me where your brother is so he can have a piece of my mind.”

“Wait! Heechul! You’re hurting me! Let go!” Sungmin shouts. The others follow the two with worry, afraid that something drastic might happen if they leave them alone.

Sungmin pulls his arm away from the red head’s clutches then points to the direction of their piano room. “He’s there. He’s been sitting in that room for hours without actually doing anything.”

Heechul strides towards the said room but stops in front of the opened door when the sound of a piano playing is heard. He looks inside and sees that indeed, it’s Kyuhyun inside and he’s singing.

Please, after we’ve broken up

Don’t remember our promises and kisses

Your “forever” doesn’t belong to me

Silently hanging my head

So many words stuck in my throat

Heechul stands frozen in front of the door with Boa and Hankyung beside her. The red haired male has no idea what the student is singing and is about to go over to him but two hands stop him. Boa and her father are of Chinese descents so they understand perfectly well what the song is about.

“What?” Heechul asks irritably.

“He’s heart broken,” Boa whispers closely to her boyfriend’s ear.

“How would you know?”

“That’s a Chinese song,” Hankyung confirms. He then proceeds to translate where Kyuhyun has left off for Heechul to understand.

Your smile, your happiness

It’s not me loving too much or thinking too much

I can feel it, I’m not suitable for you

Love has let go

I pretend to be cold

Forcing you to break up with me first

“Oh, he changed the lyrics. I wonder why,” Boa mumbles.

“He changed it?” Heechul asks but is hushed by Hankyung.

Please forgive me

Forgive my immaturity

Not loving you is just an excuse

To make it easier for you to leave

Please forgive me

I want to selfishly keep you all to myself

Loneliness gives me support

To exchange for a better life for you

I have loved, hated, cried and laughed

And kissed your fragility

But in truth I am weaker than anyone

Forgive me

I must pretend our love was a mistake

Don’t let time linger

Or I’m afraid I won’t be able to say it

Forgive me

For not giving you an explanation, my heart hurts

I have no other requests,

Completely forget about me

Love must be given up

I understand now after I’ve hurt

“Forgive me Yesung…” Kyuhyun mumbles almost inaudibly but because the room is quiet, Heechul hears it and it made him clench his fist. He strides forward, more determined than before.

Heechul grabs him by the collar and proceeds to punch him in the face. He doesn’t even let the younger get up because he straddles him and grabs his collar tightly.

“You hurt my little brother! Why? And to think I trusted you!” Heechul hisses. From the door, Sungmin is trying to release himself from Hankyung’s hold but remains futile. His father pats him in the shoulder and tells him everything’s going to be alright and that he needs to calm down.

Kyuhyun doesn’t answer. He looks away from Heechul’s poisonous glare with tears forming in his eyes. He wants to ask the elder a lot of questions like ‘how is he’ or ‘has he been crying because of me’ but he knows he couldn’t.

“What did my brother do to you huh? Why did you hurt him like that?” Tears forms in his eyes as he burrows his face on the younger’s chest, unconsciously loosening his grip. “Why did you do that to him Kyuhyun? What did my brother ever do to you to deserve that kind of rejection huh? ANSWER ME!”

“I’m sorry…” Kyuhyun mumbles. He lifts his arms up to hug the older male but stops when his hands are almost touching the latter. He contemplates whether to continue or not. He decides not to because he hurt the brothers. “I’m really sorry…”

Heechul gets up a little to stare at the younger male’s face. With tear stricken face, he asks, “Just tell me your life story Kyuhyun or I’ll forever think that you purposely wanted to hurt my little brother.”

“I didn’t want to hurt him. I was angry,” Kyuhyun explains in a soft tone.

“Angry? At my Yesung?”

Kyuhyun shakes his head. “No. At myself. At my parents. At my mom. Especially at my mom. She…”

Yesung and Donghae enters the room and most students starts gossiping from the rumors that the former had an accident or that he did drugs that’s why he didn’t attend class for two weeks. The duo decides to ignore it that when they reach their respective seats, they immediately plug their earphones on.

Sungmin comes in followed by Kyuhyun. The latter scans the room and when finds who he’s looking for, he holds a staring contest at the said person before they’re interrupted by Sungmin. Kyuhyun sits down on his chair. Tension rises inside the classroom which made both Sungmin and Donghae gulp nervously. They hope that the plan will work or else they’ll forever be doomed with two broken hearted students.

Time flew by swiftly. It’s now lunch time. Unlike before, it’s Yesung who leaves the room instead of Kyuhyun. The former is already close to tears but he knows better than to cry in front of the person he loved-loves. He still loves Kyuhyun even though the guy is a jerk. He sighs as he unconsciously heads towards the music room.

“Oh, Jongwoon! You’re right in time! I need you to get something from me,” Sungmin exclaims with a guitar on his hand.

Yesung tilts his head instead of answering verbally. He’s back to being ‘mute’ because of the incident. He blames himself for trusting another person in a matter of weeks.

“I need this physics book by Cho Seunghwan. I think they have one in the library,” Sungmin asks with a sweet smile. Yesung nods before heading straight towards the library. He spends a couple of hours there searching the library high and low but his efforts remain futile. Then he remembers something he saw a month ago. Cho Seunghwan is the author of the book he saw in the abandoned building.

Yesung contemplates whether or not he should go. But his teacher asked him a favor and it seems he urgently needs the book seeing that he was busy with papers scattered in his table. He sighs once more and runs a hand on his hair irritably. He hopes that Kyuhyun isn’t there.

He stares at the abandoned building first before entering it dejectedly. This place has a lot of memories for him-mostly happy. He smiles as he remembered the time when Kyuhyun finds him playing the piano. He looked so angry at first but he softens soon after. That’s where it hit off. They started to hang out at the exact same place where his heart was broken-the exact same place where the music is coming from.

Yesung stops dead on his track when he realizes someone is inside the room. Kyuhyun is the only person who knows of this place and he doubt anyone will come near this building anyways.

I’m a foolish person, I’m a bad person

I ‘m a person who wants you although I can’t make you smile

I’m that kind of person

His breath hitches the moment he hears the person’s voice, Kyuhyun’s voice. The person behind the slightly opened door is also the same person who broke his heart two weeks ago. He doesn’t want to face him. He wants to run away and leave but his body doesn’t listen.

For an expressionless person like me, you seep in to me like the wind

Like a candy scent, you tickle my heart and make me smile

All day long, you chatter like a bird

Like a child, you become serious over something that is nothing

He opens the door more, hoping the door wouldn’t squeak. Seems luck is on his side because the door swings silently. He sees Kyuhyun playing the piano in pure concentration which made him smile endearingly.

You’re a very nice person, you’re a very beautiful person

Because I’m not a worthy person to love someone like you

I’m just sorry

Because I’m bad at expressing my feeling, I make you sad a lot

Yesung has heard enough of the song. His chest feels painful and it’s like he’s been hit by a thousand punches coming from all directions. Tears fall down his cheeks but he immediately wipes it away as he enters the room with crumbling determination.

Kyuhyun stops singing altogether when he hears the door slam open. He sees Yesung who looks away the moment their eyes met. Yesung starts searching the bookshelf for the book he found a month ago.

They didn’t talk. Kyuhyun is the first one to leave the room followed by a much tensed Yesung. The latter clutches the book like a life line, like a shield. They are still in the hallway, walking really slow with a four meter distance between them. When Kyuhyun stops, Yesung stops as well; not wanting to bump into the other.

He closes his eyes, trying to calm himself down because tears are once again forming in his eyes. He is, however surprised to see a pair of shoes mere centimeters from his the moment he opens his eyes. He tries to step back a little but is stopped by a hand on his shoulder.

Yesung looks up at Kyuhyun and curses mentally for being short. The latter places his hand on the former’s cheek before leaning closer and ghosting closer to Yesung’s lips before fully connecting their lips.

The kiss lasted for three seconds (Yesung counted it). Yesung is still dazed from what exactly has happened and the words that were whispered to him after Kyuhyun pulled away kept playing like a broken cassette player. Kyuhyun is long gone from his sight and probably walking in the fields right now but he doesn’t care. He drops the book he’s holding before sprinting towards the man who’s left him confused.

Yesung runs as fast as he could. He exits the abandoned building then sprints towards Kyuhyun who’s walking slowly not too far from him. He runs and runs till he’s only a few meters away from the man he’s after.

“CHO KYUHYUN!” Yesung yells. Kyuhyun turns around and is greeted by a punch on the face. He doubles over but regains his balance.

“You.” Yesung punches Kyuhyun again.

“Stupid.” Knees him on the stomach.

“Jerk.” Grabs his arm then slams his body on the ground.

Kyuhyun rolls on the ground groaning while holding his stomach. He’s in too much pain to notice Yesung already on his feet.

“Get up,” Yesung instructs whish the lanky male obediently complies. He slowly gets up-ignoring the pain he’s feeling all over his body. The moment he’s able to stand on his two feet, he’s greeted once more with a solid punch in the stomach.

“Will you stop punching me?” Kyuhyun croaks, clutching his stomach. “Seriously. You and your brother are gonna be the end of me.” He coughs a few times before standing up straight.

“Explain yourself,” Yesung orders in a firm tone. “Why did you have to break my heart then two weeks later tell me you love me? And to top it all of, you kissed me!”

“I was angry, ok?! I was angry!” Kyuhyun didn’t mean to shout but he couldn’t control himself anymore. “I was angry. That was the day I found out my father’s dead and my mom’s cheating on him with another man before they even got separated.”

“It’s not Lawyer Lee because she’s also cheating on him. I’m ashamed calling that woman my mother,” Kyuhyun hisses angrily. “I also found out my father’s gay then. The witch told me that he left me to run away with some guy but that wasn’t the case. After my father found out that my mother has me, he stops looking at other men altogether just so he could be with me. Getting angry at you for being gay was…”

“That was my fault so I apologize for that. I shouldn’t have said those mean words. No matter how angry a person may be… I... I crossed the line there so I apologize. Really.”

Kyuhyun sighs. “But, I really do love you. If you have confessed to me on normal circumstances, we wouldn’t have been in this situation right now. We would’ve been happily dating or something.” He bravely takes a step forward. Seeing that the other male doesn’t step back or move, he takes this as an opportunity for him.

“I said this earlier and I’ll say it again. I love you Kim Jongwoon, I really do.”

“But you broke my heart. I hate you.”

“Then I’ll make you fall for me. I’ll do whatever it takes to make you fall in love with me all over again,” Kyuhyun whispers as he leans closer to the smaller male. He groans once more because Yesung punched him in the stomach.

Yesung runs away. When he sees that he’s far enough away from the taller male, he smiles. “You don’t have the right to kiss me yet!” He sticks his tongue out then runs back to where their classroom is. Kyuhyun laughs loudly before following him back.

Meanwhile…

“Yesung could do that?” Henry exclaims.

“Yep!” Donghae answers proudly.

“Poor Kyuhyun. I wonder how many bruises he’s got now,” Sungmin wonders.

“Well, at least it’s a happy ending,” Eunhyuk mumbles.

Oh dear. I hope the ending didn't suck... So there's the conclusion of my second chaptered story, His Silent Resonance. This is making me emotional really. Honestly, this is my first boyxboy fic so at first it's kind of awkward for me to write this and the first fic I ever posted here in LJ. It received a lot of love when I first posted this last year and that made me really ecstatic. This fic and I has been through ups and downs. I have even neglected it for two or three months because I had the sudden obsession with one-shots.
HSR will forrever be embedded in my heart. That was a nice long ride with you guys. Thank you for always being there and reading and sometimes commenting. You guys are the best. *grabs tissue*
To those people who keeps supporting me, thank you with all my heart. It has been a nice bumpy ride huh? A 7 month long ride but it was awesome. Can't believe this is ending! Oh gosh...
I'm not really good with dedication but still, I tried. Hope to see some familiar names once more in my other stories. I love you all guys so much! *hugs everyone*
*bows*

One more thing, the songs I used are: Forgive Me by Kyuhyun and I'm A Foolish Person by FT Island.

Disclaimer: I only post my stories on two accounts: AFF and LJ. I have the same username on both sites. If you ever see it in another site, please inform me immediately. Thank you.
