Junsu sighed as he glanced at the fidgeting HyukJae. He leaned back in the chair as Hyukjae played with the ball in his hands on the bed.

"Confessions aren't that difficult."

"Yes," Hyukjae insisted. "They are."

Junsu reached for the cell phone and gestured for him to give him the number. Hyukjae refused and Junsu sighed.

"Do you want me to walk you through it?" Hyukjae didn't reply and Junsu decided to take it as a yes. "First, you say hi-"

"Obviously."

"You tend to forget to." Junsu reminded. "Then just try to start a conversation and-"

"I can't do it." Hyukjae declared.

Junsu narrowed his eyes as he snapped the phone shut. "How long have you liked this guy?"

"A while." Hyukjae replied.

"It's been.. I think nine months since you told me and still nothing happened."

"We're making progress." Hyukjae murmured.

"Slow progress." Junsu corrected. "Now, once you call him, act relax and then-"

"What are we suppose to talk about?"

"Anything." Junsu said exasperatedly, glaring at his constant interruption. "Talk about... the weather."

Hyukjae blinked. "That doesn't help me."

Junsu sighed. "I'm trying here. You can't expect a miracle." He glanced back at his own phone to check the time, reaching for his backpack. "I'll see you tomorrow. Text me if it goes well."

"If it goes well." Hyukjae yelled after him. "I can't do it!"

Junsu sighed and raised his fist. "You can. You will. You must." With that, he left the room and walked out of the house.

He adjusted the strap of his backpack as he walked along the sidewalk, quietly humming a tune when his phone rang.

He glanced at the caller ID and shook his head as he snapped it opened. "Hyukjae?"

"Hi."

Junsu lowered his eyes. "Didn't have the nerve to call him, did you?"

"I did." Hyukjae insisted. "Now... how's the weather?"

Junsu stopped in his tracks, pulled away from the phone and stared at it.

"We could've done this earlier."

"I was nervous."

"As you should be." Junsu said, fighting back a smile.

Hyukjae forcibly coughed. "I didn't like the idea of being rejected in my own house. Much less my bedroom. I won't be able to sleep at night."

"You mean you were too afraid to confront me directly."

"That too." He admitted.

Junsu shook his head and waited for Hyukjae to continue. Instead, he heard him stuttered his next words until he finally managed to muster enough courage to ask what he wanted to.

"If I ask you out..." Hyukjae's voice gradually wavered. "Will you say yes?"

"That depends." Junsu glanced back at the house before he started towards the place again. "Where are you planning on taking me?"

"We could always stay at my place." Hyukjae replied. "If I had to be honest, I hadn't really thought this through."

Junsu stopped right outside the house, staring at the window, watching as Hyukjae paced anxiously in his room. "I figured."

"I don't hear you giving any suggestions."

"That's because I'm not the one asking me out." Junsu replied easily. He heard Hyukjae scoffed at the other end. "Also, you should really lock your front door. You're basically begging people to rob you."

"As if I have anything valuable."

Junsu smirked. "You have plenty to offer. I know this better than anyone." He said with conviction. He watched as Hyukjae smiled at his words. "I guess I'll have to pick where to go."

He saw Hyukjae stood still in the middle of his room. "Then... do I take that as a yes?"

Junsu pretended to think about it before Hyukjae started stuttering into the phone again.

"I-I was just-"

"You aren't joking about this. Don't use that card on me." Junsu said. He stayed quiet and watched in amusement as Hyukjae nearly yanked his hair out.

"Then?"

"I'm not saying no."

He bit back a chuckle as he saw Hyukjae rolled his eyes. "Can you just answer me properly?"

"Yes." Junsu replied. "I'll..." He chuckled. "I'll go out with you."

He held back his laughter when he saw Hyukjae nearly screamed for joy in his room, while acting completely nonchalant on the phone.

"I'll see you tomorrow then." Junsu nodded to himself. "And you were wrong."

Junsu arched an eyebrow. "How so?"

"I can expect a miracle."

Junsu smiled as he toyed with his edge of his own t-shirt. "I guess."

"I can. I will. I must." Hyukjae replied.

Junsu shook his head as he said his goodbyes and closed the phone. He stared at Hyukjae for a while as Hyukjae jumped repeatedly around the room in excitement. He barked a laugh when Hyukjae tripped over and fell to the floor.

Then he left the house once more and headed towards home. Just as he stepped inside, his phone vibrated. He reached for it and chuckled at the text he received. Coupled with a smiley face were three simple words.

'It went well."
