Jaejoong waved the papers, attempting to make something of a breeze, and checked his watch every so often. Not even reading could make his mind escape from the horrifyingly high humidity.

"When is he finally going to-"

The door rung, Jaejoong hurried and opened it, exasperated as the electrician bowed his head, introduced himself and walked in. "Finally." Jaejoong said, as he directed towards the broken fan. "You can fix this right?"

"It's not a problem of whether I can fix it," Yunho said, laying down his tool box. "It's more of whether you can be patient enough."

Jaejoong narrowed his eyes. "I have been patient, patient that you were four hours later than they said you were supposed to come in. Any longer and I'd have died from the heat."

"They did inform you that I'd come anywhere between 10 to 3, the fact that I came just before three doesn't make me late. Just makes you unlucky." Yunho reasoned calmly against the man's exaggeration, adjusting the small ladder beneath the fan.

Jaejoong bit his cheek, but rather than wanted to start a fight, simply decided to go about reading. He picked up one of his books, sat by the windowsill and started reading. Just a few more volumes and he'd be done with the series.

Out of curiosity, he found himself glancing up at the electrician, seeing how he handled the ceiling fan and the mechanics of it. And while he didn't understand most of it, he tried to study how he handled it.

His eyes trailed from his nimble fingers to his arms, his gaze slowly trailing until they reached his broad shoulders.

"Admiring the view?"

Jaejoong nearly jumped, and quickly continued reading the passage he was on. "I was not."

Yunho tilted his head, adjusting a few wires in a particular spot in the ceiling. "My job does file sexual harassment charges."

"Who would want to harass you?" Jaejoong scoffed.

"I have a feeling you understand their mindset." Yunho said, earning a glower. Jaejoong turned away, leaning against the wall as an occasional breeze blew in, rustling the pages of his book. Yet it was so few, it was still too hot.

"When are you going to be done?" He asked impatiently.

"I'm sure you understand I can't rush things," Yunho said idly as he reached for another tool. "I have to take things slow to ensure everything goes smoothly. You, of all people, should understand that right?"

Jaejoong averted his eyes, "I don't know what you mean by that."

"Look at it this way," Yunho said. "As a librarian, I'm sure you don't like to rush and skim through reading, but instead read your book at your own pace."

"How did you know I was a librarian? I could just like reading."

Yunho pointed to his kitchen, Jaejoong followed his hand and realized his name tag and the place he worked at hung by the doorway. Jaejoong snapped his book shut and went upstairs as Yunho chuckled at the frustrated man.

Yunho was almost done when he felt something cold against his shoulder, he looked down to see the man reluctantly hand him a bottle of ice water.

"Thank you."

Jaejoong ignored him, returning to the kitchen and sat on the top counter, purposely maintaining distance between them. He tried to read his book in the meantime, but his eyes continually shifted upward, he couldn't help but feel distracted.

Yunho, from the corner of his eye, saw as the other reluctantly sat on the chair beside the windowsill. Intently reading the pages as the distorted wind gently brushed his bangs.

Yunho couldn't fight back the smile.

He walked down the small ladder. "There," Yunho called out, wiping his hands on the towel. With a simple tug of the string, Jaejoong leaned forward to see the ceiling fan brought to life. "It works even better than before." Yunho said triumphantly.

Jaejoong instantly felt a cold draft in his direction. "If it gets too cold, then what I am suppose to do?"

"Get a boyfriend to warm you up." Yunho said simply.

"What if I don't have one?"

"I may repair things for a living, but I can't fix everything in your life." Yunho countered as he closed his tool box. Jaejoong narrowed his eyes, yet as Yunho met his glare, he couldn't help but briefly smirk instead.

Yunho handed back the empty water bottle. “Thank you,” He said again with a beaming smile. "And you shouldn't worry." He added, Jaejoong blinked in muted confusion.

"I don't think you'll be left cold for too long." Yunho said slyly, walking past him.

Jaejoong held the bottle in his hand, holding it by the cap when he exhaled.

The usually indifferent librarian found himself turning around on the spot.

"W-wait!" He called out, but the door had already closed, signaling his leave.

He could chase after his car outside, but wouldn't that seem too desperate? Yet in that split-second decision, he decided he didn't care and rushed outside.

Only to his disappointment, the car had already left.

He bit his cheek, the librarian reluctantly closing the door and entering his now cooler household, engulfed in this wave of disappointment.

He sighed as he went over to adjust his fan when he noticed a small note on the tail of the metal string. He pulled the card closer and turned it around. It read,

"Next time, don't wait for a broken fan to call me."

Jaejoong smiled at the set of numbers beneath and went to reach for his phone, the blades of the fan continued whirling about as it cooled the excited expression on the tenant's face.

Once the winter came, Jaejoong had a vague inkling that he'd have no problem keeping warm now.

A/N: Foremost, apologize of blaring errors in both grammar and... grammar.

At first I was messing around with the definition of a fan, until my prompter told me it had to be a Ceiling fan, and not the other definitions. Nonetheless, hope it turned out alright >< Trying to start off the challenges as light-hearted as I can before I start writing drama. ^^;
