Very well said thank you. I am sorry I did not get to go to The Witching Hour and missed seeing you again. I really wanted to. Glad you had such a great time. I saw the picture from the Ball on slytherincess' journal.

Talk to her, be honest, and get her opinion on how long it would take her to find someone else. Give her two weeks notice, since that's the professsional thing to do. And go for it!

Would it be too much to offer to stick around till she found someone. I would have to train them. She has no idea what I have to do. She is very computer iliterate and although she knows she needs to take a class or 10 she does not. Should I offer to stay and train new person even if it might take longer than two weeks to train/find a new person?

Two weeks should be plenty of time if your current boss will (a) go ahead and scout employment agencies or (b) get a temp in for immediate training who can then train the new person and give your boss time for a more thorough search.

Kind of what the others have already said: be nice, but be honest that you need the benefits and you need the new challenges of a larger firm. Two weeks' notice is the standard.

Congrats on the new job!
