By way of welcome - True Fanon Confessions

Hi, flist, and hello newcomers!

Nice to see so many new folks here! I'm delighted! Thought I'd post a little meme sort of thing to say hello, both to veteran friends who rarely hear from me, and to new friends as a sort of welcome wagon. I saw  this idea on an old thread at God Awful Fan Fiction, and it rather tickled my sense of whimsy.

So, most ( Read more... )

Sirius and Remus use a lubrication spell from Incantations of Eros, an erotic grimoire that adolescent Sirius and Regulus stumbled upon in their father's study.

Remus's mother is a bit of a bitch, but he loves her anyway.

Remus smells like camphor - that's a rather embarrassing self-insert, I'm afraid, but it makes sense to me. I figure camphor might be a common ingredient in wizarding analgesics, since it's a remedy that dates back to wise-woman days.

Sirius's birthday is November 1st, James's is August 1. James used to secretly feel a bit bothered at being nine months the junior.

Peter secretly kissed more girls at Hogwarts than the rest put together.

I really like the idea of Remus using some sort of home-brewed liniment for muscle aches - that just makes perfect sense

:)

Is that an albino bat, by the way? It's sort of freaking me out. But in a good way.

Sirius and Remus sometimes spontaneously levitate when they are having sex.

That is, of course, brilliant :)

Oh, dear, some of mine:

Sirius is very into crafts (so far he's tackled knitting (twice), crocheting, scrapbooking, and quilting).

Remus runs a bookshop.

James is quite spastic at times.

Sirius and Remus bear an uncanny resemblance to Frog and Toad *facepalm*

Voldemort enjoys vacationing in the south of France. Ahem.

Remus (and Sirius by default) is the reason that there were no dating shows in Britain in the 70s.

Oh, are you the one who writes the Crafty Sirius series? I've been meaning to get started reading that for months!

What fun!

I'm just now writing my first fic (a series for wellymuck, not quite done), so this is a peek into my own private, still-developing R/S universe ( ... )

Tea IS joy! Besides, their British. One of my favorite things about the Potterverse is that, no matter whether you are thinking of LV, Harry, Lucius Malfoy or Mundungus Fletcher, chances are, they probably ALL had tea and porridge for breakfast!

Wow, these are fabulous! I love them all, but I think I just might like pre-teen Remus' crush on Arthur Weasley the best. That is just adorable!

I'm more of a reader than a writer, so I can only think of one piece of fanon I personally adhere to. (I'm sure I have more but they're just so inherent in the way I think that I don't really recognize them as my own personal fanon.)

-With Fred and George: one's left-handed and the other is right-handed. That, and one is more serious than the other (who is more playful). I say one/other, because it can honestly go either way. They seem almost like Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to me, only much much smarter...they're kind of interchangeable like that.

Heh. I'll cast a vote, then: Fred's the more serious one, and George is left-handed.
