That night, Sirius did indeed begin drawing up his will, just as he’d promised himself he would. Less than two weeks later, that will became a current document.
Only a few weeks after that, Kreacher discovered, to his rage and to his shame, that Sirius’ last promise to him had been faithfully fulfilled, and he had neither been abandoned nor

You've once again created a story so rich in magic, but completely compelling in plot and characterization as well. Even your offstage-Bellatrix in the reversed Queen of Wands card is chilling, but you leave so much to the imagination. Who ever would have guessed that a Tarot reading could be this packed with "action" and suspense?
You speak of the duality in Sirius' own cards, some twenty years ago, but the double meaning of Kreacher's reading is masterfully portrayed, never getting too technical (even for those of us who don't know cups from swords). The foreshadowing for the end of book five is perfect, especially this bit that doesn't refer to nasty old Kreacher at all: Surely you’ve noticed, in your long life, how often it turns out that the very best intentions are just the ones that cause the most harm? *knife in heart ( ... )

No good deed goes unpunished, they say. Thank you SO MUCH for all the effort and brains and hand-holding you put into this fic! I'm the one who is lucky to have such a talented, sharp-eyed, ab-fab beta!

First let me echo both Moondagny and Sirius - I feel incredibly lucky to have been one of your betas on this wonderful fic. I love your portrayal of Sirius - even after 12 years in Azkaban, he is still recognizably the firey, passionate boy of nearly 20 years before.
I love how duality slips in to nearly every facet of the fic. Perhaps my favorite moment of it is in Sirius' description of Remus as A fixed and unchanging body of wonder in Sirius’ personal firmament. Remus is by nature a dual person/creature, his body changing monthly with the heavens. I love that in Sirius' eyes, he is a "fixed and unchanging body" - dualities withing dualities within dualities.
Just magnifique, my friend. Brava!

In the meantime, THANK YOU so much for all you've done to improve this fic, from inception to post. If not for your brains, taste, great good sense and uncanny ability to think like a demented house-elf, I doubt this one would ever have seen the light of day.
So, I told Lisa and now I'm telling you - I'm the lucky one! Heh.
Smooches and squeeglomps,
