Well gee, is becoming an RN a possibility? It sounds like you're interested in that kind of thing, and it sure would open up a lot of opportunities for you. How long does it take to get certified?
I like copy-editing because, while the basic set of skills you need is the same for most material, each sentence is unique and presents its own challenges. I bet childbirth is much the same -- a slightly different story each time. And think of the joy you'd be helping people to experience! I think it's great that you're thinking of branching out. Hypnobirth sounds particularly wild and interesting to me.
Attica tried to be my lactation consultant, but because she lacked formal training, she tried to get the milk out of my face.

Haha Attica :D
Yeah, Hypnobirthing is pretty wild, but apparently it works quite well for many women! One of my massage clients recently had her baby using the techniques and she said they were quite successful.
As a rough guess, I'd say it would take me 3 years of full time school to become an RN. Usually programs are 4 years in length, but I would probably be able to get a bunch of credits from my undergrad degree + massage diploma. That said, I'm not really interested in going back to school full time. Even part time would be difficult due to the cost... so yeah, very unlikely I'd go back to pursue a full nursing degree.
