Just finished getting back to some comments from the past two weeks. I suck at comments lately, yo. I'm trying to get better. Just flog me when I don't reply in a timely fashion, k? :D

That's cute. She was a really nice girl ... always encouraging people. We always had her play catcher because she was worthless in the field. Still, a very cool chick. All of the other athletes thought they were too cool to talk to us "normal people," but I never got that vibe from her.
*clings* Oh, Heather. I'd been at work all day and hadn't seen a thing about it until I checked my e-mail after getting home and saw your comment, and my heart seriously stopped. Once I saw what had happened, I wanted to cry. My poor baby. :'(
Like an idiot, I had to actually watch it happen, and even though I knew what was coming, I still nearly had a heart attack hearing it hit him and seeing him go down. Thank God he seems to be okay aside from the concussion. I just pray he'll be okay to play and won't have any lingering effects, like you said. :\
*hugs again* Thank you for thinking of me, babe. I just wish Cindy was checking her e-mail over in Beijing because I don't think they brought their phones. I can only imagine what a horrible feeling it must have been for her and Dara to watch that.
Oh, babe. I just said this in a comment, but I feel like a louse for scaring you. I figured that you'd have heard by then. It never even remotely occured to me that you might not have :-(
When I saw the article, I said a prayer for him and for you, babe. I can't even imagine. I mean, injuries happen. Hamstrings tear, bones break, but to be intentionally injured should NEVER happen. That is just horrible. Hopefully being so young will help him heal up quickly. And, it wouldn't surprise me if he DID play in the medal games.
I am so sorry for everything - scaring you, for what happened, that his mom and fiancee had to see that...just, for everything, love. I hope that they got to see him quickly after it happened. How scary for them, especially being in a totally ass-backward country. I can't even imagine. :-(
Oh, honey, really, please don't feel bad about it. I would have found out anyway and would have been just as initially freaked about it. Honest. *squish*
I just...it just really makes me sick that it was the head. Why did it have to be there? A fraction of an inch one way or another and it could have been so much worse. Even still, a concussion is nothing to sneeze at. Fuck them so hard for that.
I feel so bad for Cindy and Dara. :( God, that must have been awful. Of all the things to happen, and in a country like that, no less...I doubt this is what they were expecting when they came over to watch Matt play.
Thank you so much, love. *hugs you tight* You always understand and know exactly the right things to say.
