Probably silly question
So, about half of the videos I download play with these really annoying coloured bars running through them. Usually semi-translucent, green or maybe orange, and they distore the sides of the vids as well. This is whether I play through media player, VLC, RM, whatever. Slow Cruise?
My city's newspaper had an article yesterday on research indicating that cellphone use slows brain activity. Hilariously, this was paired with a large photo of Tom Cruise talking on a cellphone, with no mention of him at all in the article.
Cheap shot, and tabloidy, I know. But I still laughed. -

Worst flying experience ever
I fly a lot for a poorish student, probably almost once a month on average not counting overseas trips. When I think about it, it's kind of bizarre the amount of time I spend basically suspended midair by some feat of physics I've never really tried to understand.
