Strange 'marketing'

There's a storm in a teacup over at BoingBoing about gaming the Wikipedia [*] as part of a marketing campaign. Hardly surprising that it's being done, but I am surprised that the BBC are involved. British geek taxpayers should be asking their government if this is a proper use of taxpayer funds
