There's a lot of shit going down in the US at the moment regarding the teaching of evolution in schools or, rather, the lack of teaching of religion (Can anyone spell "separation of church and state"?) "intelligent" design...don't get me started. It isn't science and it isn't even a viable theory; just a combination of religion and whining about evolution not having all the answers. Well, the problem here is that science requires facts which are open to falsification. By definition, unless God decides to reveal Himself to the world at large tomorrow, creationism cannot be falsified because its major premise relies on faith. Keep religion out of the science classroom, folks.

(I am reminded of a comment by one scientist that he would agree to teach intelligent design in his classroom if he was also allowed to teach a flat earth, Santa Claus, and the tooth fairy.)
