[Visitors to the Jasmine Dragon may notice a snow globe sitting in a place of honor with the decorative tea pots. Inside is an island beach, rather like the one
here. Every once in awhile Iroh takes it off the shelf and looks at it wistfully.]

Today's gift from the deities has reminded me that while we are all brothers and sisters in this remarkable city, we each come from worlds that are quite different from one another. Where I am from, I was part of a group that celebrated beauty and wisdom across a variety of cultures. And I thought -- why not start a chapter here? If any place in the world -- or multiple worlds, as the case seems to be -- is suited for a celebration of multiculturalism, then surely it is the City.
So I would like to invite any who are interested to join my at the Jasmine Dragon on the first Monday of every month to drink tea, eat food, and share things from our homes: favorite foods, stories, games, anything! We enrich our present when we honor our past.
And should anyone wish to come tonight, I promise to teach you how to play pai sho.
