From observation it is very apparent that life-forms are a product of the environment in which they live. What if one were to take the environmental factors away from a lifeform but still give the life form just the bare minimum sustenance it needs. Note: By environmental factors I mean ALL earthly factors including light, energy, gravity, etc.

For example, we know now that the universe is only composed of about 10 percent matter. 30 percent of is its what physists call "dark matter", matter that makes gravity and light bend in funky ways, ways that cannot be explained without there being just more than matter. The final 60 percent is called "dark energy", something that physists today believe we will never comprehend....but they know its out there doing something.
My point is that perhaps we may exist in a nil environment for other "life forms" and vice versa.
I dunno, crazy thought I just had...
