Katy. Been a while! I hope you're doing well. I heard the sad news. I was definitely thinking of you and others. I hope you have a great time at JUMP. I missed the skillbuilding retreat for Montreal (argh) and now I have to miss JUMP for the HAIR musical (double argh). I really wish I could go, but oh well. I had lots of fun and learned a lot from that good, ol' NSSSA (and from kids like you too). So. I'll stop blabbering. Have fun, say "hi" to kiddies for me! :D <3 Erin
Hey Erin! I'm sad that you're not going. I wish you could take my place; I would have never thought that going to an NSSSA conference would be this sad or this hard. I thought it was going to be okay but a few hours ago I looked through my skillbuilding manual and everything reminds me of Todd in half a dozen ways. He loved the NSSSA sooooo much. It was contagious. I remember last year on the way to St Fx. It was my first provincial; I really didn't know what I was getting myself into. He sat in front of me and Shawn on the bus and talked talked talked the whole way there, about everything and anything and Todd things like he always talks. He made me laugh the whole way there.
I can't believe he's not going to be on that bus tomorrow, Erin.
Don't be sad, think of all you've learned through NSSSA. I know I've learned a lot. (I used to be the shy girl who would NEVER open her mouth). Think of all the friends we've made. They'll last a lifetime, I'm sure! And, I'm glad you have such fond memories of Todd. He was the one with the roller-skate shoes, wasn't he? I remember telling him how wicked I thought they/he was. He will surely be remembered for his great smile and kindness and will probably be an inspiration for many. So, don't be sad my dear! Turn that grin upside down. He wouldn't want you to miss out on something he loved so much! :) I bet he'll even be there with you, in spirit.
