So, I went to Inverness...

Jul 08, 2011 01:01

So, here, in all their splendour, are the photos from my holiday in Inverness, Scotland! They are predominately green and blue in colour and comprise mainly of ruined castles, burial chambers and my dog in varying states of dampness.

There is also THIS:

One does not simply drive into Cawdor.

Aww, thank you! I fear this one was sub-standard, what with the lack of ghosts and dead sharks and rocks with faces on them, but I work with what I've got! ;-]

Don't make GRgor get his axe!

Seeing the history is still wonderful!

HAHAHA! Honestly, we were laughing for the entire fortnight about GRgor XD. I was gonna post this gif of Gregor decapitating a horse. But it's actually too gross. So I'm linking to it instead. :-X

Thank you! I'm really pleased you liked them! I really should try to get a bit further into Europe myself, maybe Germany next! :-)

Thanks, he's such a goofy guy! XD

Merlin looks so disgusted with his wet fur. Hahaha. Thanks for posting the pictures! Living in the States, this post is about as close as I can get to anything ancient. ;)

HAHAHA! I know. Oh, he's priceless. He won't go in the sea and always looks so forlorn in the bath. I do feel so lucky to have historic sites to visit. But I adore the States, I really must get over my fear of flying :-( I'd love to visit!

These pictures are amazing and your commentary was quite lovely too! ^^ Scotland's high on my list of places to visit; there's just so much history there! It looks beautiful, practically untouched by time.

Thank you! Oh it's beautiful, truly! I slightly prefer Wales, but Scotland is gorgeous, so much space! And yes, really untouched!

Looks like a good trip! Loch Ness! I always enjoy your picture posts, especially the commentary. And yes, that coat should probably not be worn by you again ;p although I do understand what you were going for. but double breasted coats are not very forgiving, methinks.

and Merlin is adorable, as always

Thanks! I really wish we could have gone into some of the Loch Ness exhibits, but my hairy friend prevented us, alas. Haha, yes, I think the coat will be consigned to the wardrobe from now on. It looks quite cool and 1940s when it's open and flapping, but fastened...oh God! Clearly no one in my family has been honest with me! >_>
