i think your dad would be happy if you opened up to him about those things. tell him how you struggled and you're still struggling (though you know you won't for long, you could just really use the help). i'm sure he'd appreciate an apology too just for not being able to call, aswell as telling him you were nervous to do so because there are so many expenses to handle and so little money at hand right now. i'm sure he'll understand.. especially knowing how difficult your mom can be on top of everything. maybe this is just the kick in the pants you needed to start thinking ahead. and i'm sure if they do help you out with putting you on your own, it will also help to get you thinking ahead and managing your money and all that fun stuff you learn by livin on your own! if you ever hesitate to call your dad again, just think of how much better he is than asking your mom! haha. plus, now you know he won't get mad, you know he'd just be happy you weren't afraid to ask him.
