Wii things....

I have spent far too long watching the internet (while I should be doing other things) for an announcement I should have known would not be what I wanted it to be.

Nintendo have released the price (not such a big deal) and release date (big deal) for the Wii.  Decembe 2nd here in Japan and November 19th if I recall for the USA.  About 25,000yen so ( Read more... )

Sup, I'm feeling the rain right now =(

I've gone from t-shirt to coat in the blink of an eye >__< I think I actually might want to spend next year with a more predictable British summer! (Well, I don't want to miss the August matsuri everywhere though!) Arrgh, decisions decisions!

Tell me about it.

Last night was the first time I wore my coat since I arrived, I could barely do long sleeves at all before last night.

Now I`m in a long sleeve tshirt and jacket just to go the shop 2 minutes away! Crazy!

It's pure madness!

Oh, you should get Michiko to go to the Conbini with you and try to get a 700 yen ticket to the 第44回アミューズメントマシンショー (AM-Show that is) else you won't be able to get one on the cheap! Either that or the JR ticket offices also sell them.

It`s easy to make that mistake but a mistake it certainly is.

I went through all of this when telling Milo how hot it is here, he has now gone through it telling people in the UK too.

The only way to understand it is to come here. But not now, it`s getting bastard cold again now.

You raise a good point except for the fact that Nintendo have tried to intergrate photos into games in the past (Animal Crossing e+ and Mario Phto Studio) but the technology was not quite there (using SM cards was never fun) and digital cameras did nto have the same amount of saturation as they do now.

Besides, this is for the Japanese market mainly, photos play a huge part is social circles here, especially amoung teens, girls and 20 something women which is an audience all games companies want to catch and draw into their other core products.

This is not a frill just to say a machine can do something, it has purpose.

I don`t know if Sony have revelaed the prices for their PS downloads yet but you can bet they will also be trying to get as much as they think they can get away with.

I do agree though, it is too much to pay when you can just download it for free but for some people who remember having to pay 20 pounds for unboxed second hand SNES games $8 does not seem so bad for the ones you really want.

Having said that, I would happily pay for a few of my favourite titles if only for the fact that they will be in a handy place when I want them and it will be much easier (I hope) to get three people together on WiiConnect24 for Secret of Mana than it was on the SNES or using an emulator these days.
