I watched Drive last night. I liked it. I liked it a lot. Which really isn't a very cogent review, I realize, but it's either this, writing very simply about movies, or going into weirdo stuff nobody else will understand land, and I guess I'm choosing the former. I could go on and on about how it's really a spaghetti western...I could go on and on

Oh, now I want to see it! That's such a great feeling when you discover someone, their appeal or their talent, and you say yes. I love that! I saw a play recently with Anthony Heald, who I sorta recognized, and he had a fat bio in the playbook, but I didn't really know who he was and didn't care because the really great stage actors don't keep reminding you who they are, and I like it that way. He was just so good. He was playing Shakespeare-- that is, the character, (named Shagspeare just to keep the tone right) and he nailed it, totally hit it. (It was a little weird to look him up later and discover he was the hated doctor in Silence of the Lambs, the one whose impending murder people weirdly cheered at the end?) Anyway: Drive. Thanks for posting. I will try to leave my house and actually see it. :)
