Free time

So, now that I have a lot more free time, I've been doing some redecorating. Like a new couch. My poor old couch has been with me since my college years. It's seen a lot, but now, it's time for us to part. So I get to see if I can find a cheap one

Oh, there were indeed. I almost don't want to get rid of it. But it's starting to give way when I flop on it too hard.

You can always make something out of the old upholstery as a memorial.

While I may not have the same memories as some do with your couch, from my youth or otherwise, but it does seem a sad thing if you have had it for such a long time. And I hope that I am not the cause for your decision.

And if you were part of the reason? I'd hate for you to come over to find me on the floor because that poor old thing finally threw in the towel.

I am no reason for you to want to change a single thing. However... If I were to visit you and see you among the remains of your couch... I am having a very hard time resisting the urge to laugh. I am sorry, it would be no laughing matter, of course it wouldn't. It would be a very sad and solemn day, we would have to give it the set off it deserves. Before buying you a couch that holds your weight a little better.
