I should have posted this earlier, but due to certain circumstances, I was not able to. Last week there was an incident at the tea shop, due to which we will be closed for the foreseeable future. I deeply regret the inconvenience this causes to my devoted customers and to my employees.

I won't lie. It is very bad. But it could have been worse! The building stands, and there is something to be said for that.

It is not a cut and dry matter. Let's leave it at that. ...please.

[He doesn't want to hurt Katara and Sokka by telling them of Jet's involvement. Nor does he want to completely alienate Jet from those around him, remembering the pain in the young man's voice when he said his friends weren't here. Getting more people involved and angry would help nothing.]

A young carpenter has kindly agreed to help with the reconstruction for free, but I will still need to purchase tools and materials. He would know best what he needs. Then there is the matter of restocking supplies -- the various teas, pots, and cups. All together, I believe I will need about [some not obscene but still depressingly large number].

I'm afraid I'm not good for much outside of making tea. I would, of course, pay back the money as soon as the shop is running again.

There is still a great deal of cleaning up that needs to be done. It would be wonderful if you could help with that.

[Frowny frown.] You helped me when I needed it. If there's anything I can do, let me know. Even if it's like... selling tea inside of my restaurant. I'm not sure how it'd work, but it would mean money coming in, right? And we don't really serve fancy tea, so it's not like we're competing or anything.
