friends only

Apr 02, 2011 13:44

This journal is friends only, not out of any excessive need for privacy, but as a means to filter my "real life" from my "internet life."

This journal is mostly personal ramblings with fandom things interspersed throughout.1 While I've become an infrequent poster over the years, in 2010, I am going to try to post more frequently ( Read more... )

I found your journal through the west_wing_fans community. You seem really interesting. So, may I friend you?

Let me just tell you...you're now my new favorite person in the west wing community because you also use the phrase "Jesus Christ in a handbag." I say that all the time...that's too weird.

Hah, I was... definitely under the impression that I had coined that phrase; that really is too weird! But pretty fantastic, nonetheless.

Actually, the only other person I've ever heard use it was my friend Grace, and I stole it from her! I just thought it was the most random thing ever and I loved it!

If your profile stands as truth, we have the same taste in everything (and some shared Firefox love).

Am adding away.

Hi, just a quick question - are your icons shareable? 'Cause I was browing through your userpics and you made a GORGEOUS one of Brad Whitford and his daughter and I was wondering if I could use it. I'd credit you, of course! Thanks.

I'm flattered, thank you, and use away! I'm always happy to share the Bradley "I'm the Most Adorable Father in the World" Whitford love.

I see, also, upon reading your info, that you're a new West Wing convert; well done! ;P

Gah, isn't he just too adorable to be real sometimes? Love that his youngest daughter looks like him. Thank you for letting me use it!

Yep, relatively new fan of the excellence that is The West Wing. Now I can't imagine life before it. It seems hazy and incomplete. The REALLY annoying thing is, in Australia we've only seen half-way through Season Five and I have no idea when we'll be getting anymore episodes.

I actually found your journal because of that icon.
Oh, how I heart Bradley. The pictures of he and his children are so (almost unbearably) adorable. Aaaah.
Anyway, I didn't mean to get all fangirly, just wanted to say hi and ask if I could be friended.

I followed the trail of your pretty Toby&the babies with hats icon and here I am! And you're from Iowa! Yay! And we have the same mood theme! Yay!

I also read the general disclaimer and I think it's written brilliantly. Most of it is what I term "common sense", but with some people out there, you never know whether they have it or not. O tempora, o mores!

So, would you let me be your friend :) ?

Oh, Toby, my love. ;P
And Iowa! (do you have any relation to it?)

I cannot take claim for writing the disclaimer, but I agree with what you've said about it; if only common sense were a universal virtue (o tempora, indeed!)

I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner, or friend you sooner (got busy, etc, etc), but I've added you now!

It's actually sad how long it took me to fall in love with the Tobus. But now I heart his gazillion complex layers, so all is well in my West Wing fandom :)

Iowa! (I tried my damnest, but it just doesn't roll of my tongue.) I lived in Iowa for a year as a foreign exchange student and oh how I have fallen in love with it. But I get the wtf!eyebrow whenever I say this to anyone who has never been to Iowa. Ah, what do they know :)

And don't worry about the not-friending-me-the-second-I-commented. I know more about the "etc, etc" that I care to know. Or, you know, it's just common sense.
