So yesterday was the Goo Goo Dolls concert. And before setting off to see them, David and I went to see Nacho Libre. (It had its moments.) Afterwards we got some food at Wendy's and got on the bus. Yknow...the school bus. Yup.

Of course we didn't mind. Due to the fact we don't really drive and take the bus often. Plus it was fun making up creepy stories about the bus driver deciding to make a detour to her house and locking us in her basement after convincing us that the ice for our icy cool breverages were down there, which was the reason for stopping at her house in the first place.

So we got there which in itself was quite exciting. But it was only 5:30 and the concert was planned to start at 7:30. What to do...? Take some pictures? Of course.

So we hadn't been to the White River Ampihtheatre and we found that it was pretty darn nice.

While walking around we took a picture or two. Listened to some bands from the beer garden. One was the Juliet Daggers..and..the Last Conservative. They were okay.

Then we made a great discovery! And I decided to document it. And came out with this. One of the booths outside of the venue was the Trojan booth. They had a couple of girls with big duffle bags full of condoms, and they were handing out free smaples. Of course I didn't need any samples( for one I don't have sex, and the other being I don't have a penis) so I decided I would get a picture with them. We tried once before this picture but the sun was right behind us so we tried again and it worked. I like to think I was their first, but david tried to convince me that they had to have tried their own product. I think not.

Right before they let us go sit in our seats we went and got some free hats at the verizon wireless booth. David decided that he would carry my bag for me, and well I couldn't help myself but set this nice little photo up. Metro? I think so. I love it!

So we got to finally sit down after waiting for a long time. And we discovered that our seats we amazing.

We were super excited!

The stage was set up for the opening band, Augustana.

I enjoyed them a lot. David had a problem telling whether the guy on the far right was a guy or not. His hair was so long and shiny.

We were hoping Goo Goo Dolls would play last, but we discovered after the Counting Crows lead singer came out that they were going to play first.

He was such a weird guy. This is the only picture I got of him because I wasn't there for him. He told us about all the local nonprofit organization he was endorsing. One of which was devoted to save all the local baby wolves. WOLVES?!?!

We could hardly wait for the Goo Goo Dolls to start, but the process of setting up their stage had to happen. But it took quite a long time.

But Finally!

THE GOO GOO DOLLS!! We were super excited! So we decided to move up a few rows to the front of our section, which we believe were the best seats you could have gotten.

The stage was fantastic. lots of lights. lots of screens. lots of pictures. Nice backdrop. Cool drop down things. Smoke. It was great.

Johnny was lookin' good. David agreed.

So that was the Goo Goo Dolls. We loved it. But, the night was not over yet. The counting crows were up next, and oh boy were they fun. The lead singer was crazy. He felt every word of his music and he portayed them through lots of hand motions and spinning. Oh and airplane arms. Oh, the emotion! It seemed like everyone had come for the counting crows, especially the drunks. And if anyone knows me, you would know that I attract lots of odd individuals and well tonight was no exception. This drunk guy who didn't even know who was playing decided that David and I looked friendly and sat next to me. David needed to go to the restroom which spurred a conversation with the drunk. He obviously didn't want us, mostly me, to leave. So he tried to convince me to stay while david went to the bathroom. I did NOT want to stay but the guy was very persistent so I had to stay. David left. I was alone with a very very drunk guy. Who wanted to talk face to face. Bad alcohol blowing in my face with every word he said. It was bad, and David knew this so he hurried back from the bathroom. He tried to get me to get up and dance, but I refused. I was uncomfortable, so David and I snuck off while he wasn't looking and went out and sat at a picnic table for the rest of the concert. Where another drunk lady came up and started singing. But she left.

Overall it was amazing! And I am glad David got the chance to see his favorite band ever. It was fun to see him sing every song. <3
