Count Cavour's policies... Blood & Iron and Realpolitik, right?  And Realpolitik is doing whatever it takes to make your country stronger, even if it means being hated, screwing over alliances and treaties, and killing everyone (except the Pope.  They didn't kill Pope Pius--or even kick him out!--which is why there's this thing called Vatican City ( Read more... )

Actually, Colin is a figure skater as well ;D Because I'm sort of trying (read: not at all, really) to keep the general age differences, Wayne is in the junior skating league, and in this bit actually just won the Junior Grand Prix of figure skating. I actually watched it on TV in December, heh ^^ Colin is a former winner of the competition, which is why he's allowed to be down at the ice. Greg... well, he sticks his nose in everything, who am I to keep him out?

I love Paramore! It's odd, because I have such a large variety of music on my iPod, and before Crushcrushcrush starting playing, High Hopes by Frank Sinatra was on XD

My teacher ended up throwing out one of the questions I missed on the test, so I just need to argue with him until he gives me the other point ;D

Oooh, I was wondering what Colin was, splains it. Yeah Greg does poke his nose in alot, but we love him anyway ;). Never really watched figuescating before =/, probly because I'm about as elagent as an elephant when it comes to ice scating (probably because I'm 5ft8 with big feet...well probably not but there going to get the blame anyway =), though it would be interesting to see Colin and Wayne dancing around on the ice, with slashyness thrown in for good measure =P.

Me too! I have everything varing from Bullet for my valentine (which is pretty heavy stuff) to girls just want to have fun (its a classic =D), and everything inbetween. No Frank Sniatra tho...I shall have to listen to it some time =).

Woop for your exrta point, just get your teacher to throw out the other one you got wrong and your all set ;). I've got 100% on an R.E test once, and I don't have a clue how, but I was made up =D I beat the brainiest in my year whose always bragging =D I was so proud.

It's like an interview that was on the DVD of Blades of Glory (which sort of inspired this, I must say ^^), an award-winning figure skater was asked to give advice to tall people on skating. He said something along the lines of "If you're over 5'6, avoid the ice. Tall people aren't meant to skate... it's God's way of saying 'no hard feelings.'" Of course I had to write this then... Colin is over 6 foot ;D I actually saw the figure skating by accident, heh. I was searching online for a contest Wayne could be in, and the Junior Grand Prix game up... with showing times! It was truly serendipitous!

I think I can get my teacher to give me the point, heh. I wouldn't bother with any other teacher, but me and him are great pals... and I love giving him a hard time! He's a Catholic, and married, so he has six kids and his wife is due with the 7th at the end of the month. Two of them are girls... which is bad for him, since the 'sad-puppy-dog' face works on him every time!

Bullet for My Valentine... I'll have to check that out!
