  I am, like the majority of the rest of the country/world, on cloud 9, after the elections. Nothing can bring me down, now. The Democrats seem far more inclined than their predecessors to work towards unity and bipartisianship--things we desperately need

I don't know about the conspiracy theories, yet...but Bush worse, even if those things were somehow true. He's much worse than a mere "bungling fuck-up." Torture, wire-tapping, military commisions act, and death of Habeus Corpus and our national integrity, anyone? Not to mention his confrontational foreign policy and support of atrocities such as Israel's invasion of Lebanon.

The Israeli invasion was justified at first. However, it quickly got out of hand. I think that bloodlust took over once again in the Middle East.
