Not dead yet, but close.

Back at school, as you can see. The place hasn't changed much. The school website now plays the PotC theme song, and some of the never-ending construction work has been taken care of over the summer, but not much. They managed to connect the main building to the lobby of the cafeteria, but the passageway isn't finished and has to be blocked off by a huge cattle gate at either end. Charity says it looks like the O.K. corral.

Comparisons between my fellow students and cattle would be appropriate at this point.

I have to get up at about 4:30 to catch the bus--an endeavor that has not yet been accomplished--but may be able to sleep until 5:30 once I find out what time the bus actually passes by my stop, and make sure the driver remembers that I need to be picked up. There are 19 miles (or 30.59 km, since the physics class is re-learning the metric system) between Jasper and Harrison, which causes a bit of difficulty. Ah, well.

My classes aren't that complicated. I am compelled to take Civics, which I have no interest in, and I chose to take Physics because of my interest in aviation. Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus and AP English are distance-learning courses, and I can get college credit for the math. And then there’s two computer classes. Computer Applications doesn't appear to be too hard-messing around with the Office functions-but Desktop Publishing looks to be complicated. They say it’s like Photoshop, but harder.
Only I don’t know what Photoshop is.

Ulp.

I have some books now.  I had to steal  borrow though without permission a few books last Monday, and I returned them safe and sound on Saturday, when I got my card.  I'm reading those books about Drizzt Do'Urden that were recomennded to me as well as more David Eddings and Sherlock Holmes.  I spend my sleepless hours composing eloquent rants that I've forgotten by the morning.  Something as to how all of Eddings' characters are almost identical, and how there's no such thing as a silver-bladed sword that actually works.  And then I have dreams about vampires, for some odd reason.  The damned things are getting harder to kill.  Does this have some psycological signifigance, or are they just getting smarter?

so tired, school
