Buddhist meditation

Firmly tie the mind,
resembling a mad elephant,

To the strong pillar of its
perceptual content

With the rope of
contemplative inspection,

And gradually tame it with
the hook of discrimination.

In case you miss it over on the Dysthymics community, I just wanted to say thanks for posting about that book. I just got mine and think it's quite good. I posted a review there.

I might friend you if you don't mind - your interests seem to line up with mine pretty well, at least based on your profile page. :)

Take care,

Scott McD.

Sure, that'd be fine.

Thase's book is incredible, I think. Glad you agree.

Then, remove scales from the mind,
grill the mind over an open fire,
and consume to achieve all knowledge.

Would tamari or ketchup be the better condiment?

I have been perusing your LJ, via a friends LJ, for quite some time now. I find your writings rather provocative and intriguing! Keep up the excitement.

Not at all. I suffer from dystyhmic disorder and post traumatic stress disorder. As well as having an acute interest in High Functioning Autism (Aspergers Syndrome).

I stumbled across your LJ a few weeks ago and have been captivated ever since. I just do not have the guts or glory as to ask to be added into your 'inner sanctum' as I have a severe case of the "i am not good enough". Still I very much enjoy your entries and finally had the nerve to tell you so.

I read as much as I can here in LJland as I have many issues. None that need to be discussed in such an open forum as this.

Take care. ;)

Heya. Sorry that it's taken me a little while to reply.

That's kind of you to say... although I'm unsure what may have been quite so captivating of late. Still, thanx for the compliment. :)

Oh pshaw. More friends the merrier.

Still I very much enjoy your entries and finally had the nerve to tell you so.

No worries. I don't bite without consent.
