My interaction with George was too small (a meeting or two? a couple long phonecalls), but even with such brief contact I learned to like and respect him a great deal. Thank you for this entry, it's a wonderful tribute.
I've been expecting that his family, likely with members of Balefire, would want to be the ones to draft something for Vox. If they wished to use some or all of these words as part of that draft, I'd certainly be happy with that, but I wouldn't presume to be the spokesperson for the family on such an important venue without their consent and editing.
While I wish the circumstances could be better, it was wonderful to see you Sunday night.
It was even more wonderful to see you with a friend. (Not sure what level you're at or what to call her.) She must be special to be with you. She had a beautiful smile that really lit up her eyes and made them sparkle.
Hey Devyn, We never met, but George often spoke about you, with much love and respect, whenever he and I were in touch. I am the girl who introduced George to Kenny and Tzipora in 1989, just as I was leaving the US to move to the UK. We had been friends for a couple years through his work, and I was so pleased to help him start to find a way to explore Wicca. Little did I know...! I just found out that George has died -- I didn't kmow he was ill. I live in London, and if I had known he had a livejournal, I would have been better at staying in touch.. my fault of course. If you ever come to the UK, I would love to meet up. I have a small pagan shop in Central London. Blessed Be, Christina

I know we want to post something on Witchvox about George and this would be wonderful, if you would like to give your permission for it?
