Right about here month 3 it starts to suck, like really bad. You've got nothing to say when you call home you've been doing the same thing every day for 3 months straight. Hugs. When Jason deployed to Kandahar this last year, it was much the same. When he got back he told me just how many rocket attacks they had, and how many were close to where he was standing or walking. There's a lot you can't say about being over there, which is likely one of the more annoying and difficult parts of talking to family when you get the chance even.

Stay on the base, inside the wire, or where ever it's safest when you can. Have a safe and as uneventful a deployment as possible. Hope you're home soon, safe and sound.
