I'm here. I'm still temp-to-hire for GE. I'm still not in grad-school. I'm still living in Houston. Life is particularlly good, considering the above. Rice put me on some waiting list, but GE is treating me like family. I'm interested in moving from pressure products in the infrastucture sensing divison to GE's energy division. Here goes...I am finally through the red(and black) tape of UGA and I will be receiving my BS in Physics and Astronomy. I am currently employed as a Calibration Tech for GE. We are the guys that set the standards for pressure gauge measurement all over the world, no lie. We create pressure standards (basically pistons) then callibrate secondary ( Read more... )

I clapped for the Braves when they made a double play in the bottom of the ninth inning. There were several cowboy-hatted gents who walked up right behind me and started saying "That is some horseshit! Damn Braves!" It was exciting. I still hate baseball though.

Yeah...I'm taking Quantum Mechanics again. It seems really promising when the Prof comes in and tells the 3 of us that we need to pick a new class time because he's busy teaching intro now.
